what will boost elbow do for a stock truck?

I use my truck for towing and read a post about it but was not clear.

I am looking for quicker acceleration. Also would like to find something to unplant my foot out of floor board going uphill at 60mph loaded. My load is gvwc is always 17-18k loaded and im only loaded half of the time=

carhauler, without the electronic box (ie. Edge EZ) to "fool" the ECM into thinking the boost is not exceeding 21 psi, it will just defuel the engine when it gets to that level. Additionally, you need more fuel to produce more power and more boost. Boost alone won't help. Again, the Edge EZ is the easiest way to add about 50-60 HP and comes with the boost elbow. If you want more, that is definetely possible, but requires more modifications like injectors, transmission upgrades, intake and exhaust system mods. Lot and lots of info on this topic. Do you haul commercially?

Yes I do

I deliver new Hondas and Acuras from port of baltimore to local dealers within a fifty mile radius I use a 2 car rig so i dont have to stop at scales. Before my recent divorce I had a fleet of 10 car haulers all new and 3- 2k dodge duallys w/2 car trailers all running cross country



Btw I do run w/o trailer on weekend and enjoy whoopin up on shevvys and ferds even stock i do pretty well

Don't install a boost elbow or module without a fueling box of somekind. I did jsut that and big mistake. I made 26 psi boost but the dyno had me at 135 HP. Removed the boost module and installed original elbow and dynoed at 200 HP. Installed the Edge EZ and dynoed at 245 HP with 28 psi boost (blocked waste gate). Another note if you just install the EZ and no injectors leave the stock elbow on the truck you'll have better acceleration all the way to 3200 RPM. With my wastegate plugged I had no acceleration above about 2500 RPM.



Go with the EZ and if you need a little more 275's.
