where are you getting 66mm turbos for $1500?

Isn't that the truth...

$800 - TST

$400 - EZ

$1500 - 66mm turbo

$300 - lift pump setup (any of them)

-------------

Thats $3000 to make 500+ horses. Then you need like another $4000-6000 on an auto trans upgrade to make it get to the ground

Gotta love it... ...

On HTT's website they have them at $1695 retail. I just rounded down because no one ever seems to pay retail, etc.

Heck I paid $1000 for mine, But it was used and needed new bearings. ;)

How does the stock intercooler hold up to that much boost? How much boost are you guys making for 500+ horsepower?

I made 46 psi at 522hp. That was holding the wastegate open from 40psi and up.

The metal ones hold up good. The few plastic ones out there, NOT so good.

but that's not the same shaft diameter as II's SPS 66, is it? I was under the impression that it was the same shaft dia as their phat shaft series...

you could be right, I think the SPS may be a larger shaft.

BUT until I break this one, I dont really know if it is needed, I mean I have honestly not heard of one SPS66 or SLedpuller66 break the shaft yet.

And let me tell ya, I have barked the snot out of mine on more than a few occations. :D

PS - looks like the SPS66 is like 1795 retail. . not too shabby

That's one thing I love about my sps 62, it spools up real fast and has the capability to compete with the 66's. Another plus on the sps 62 is that it has the same shaft that the sps 66 does. Hey tom, speaking of barking the turbo, have you noticed that happening when you drive around town, not hot rodding and your tst is above 4/4? It's happening to me unless I have it floored. I have to keep it under 4/4 so it doesn't do it. It just wants to get up and go.

Not really, Thats only happens to me if I get out of it. Although It happened ALOT when I had the TST with the regular program in it. Like it wanted to fuel, by that time I was shifting. Then it would bark...

Other than that, not really - I have learned to be pretty smooth on throttle changes though... :-laf

I guess it does it when I let out of it fast, but sometimes when in O/D and I floor it, it will do it. Oh well, no harm no foul. .

As for smooth throttle changes, not me... That DTT likes to work real hard, espically against those rice burners. That's just what John told me... ha ha ha
