I am dynoing this weekend up at Scheids. Hopefully on David Dunbar's Dynojet.

This will be the first time for me with the SUPER PHAT SHAFT 66 turbo on the rollers.

With the mods in the signature, what do you guys think will be the magic number?

PS I was at 489hp on the dynojet with the B1 and no BullyDog Downloader.

Are you running Crazy Larry?

The extra timing from the BDDL can really help. Don't know how it will do with your cam though. I would put money on the BDDL on 90hp and the TST somewhere between 4/4 and 6/6 will be the best..... Ramifier out of the equation. It would be nice if you could do enough runs to try each combination just to see which did the best.

AK,

No, regular BDDL. It will be set on 90hp.

I will be running the TST Box on 6x5, then probably drop a level each run.

So no ramifier huh?

I usually give it a hair of ramifier.

I would guess 540-545. Since I have been running the new charger and the EZ my truck has alot more pull. I dynoed 450 last time so I think I would be right at 500 (the dyno blew up at my local shop and its not fixed yet) so with your cam and slightly more timing you should in the 540 range or more I think.

RE: Dyno runs

Don't let the common rail drop below 13,000psi and your good to go. It does not start dropping hp until 11,000 but then hp will drop alot. Have fun!

I'm gonna go off the usually replies and say about 515-520

Well... It guess it depends on the dyno... Will it be a Load dyno?

Tomey, Your truck made 496 and its a 250 HP truck, Justins is a 325 HP truck both with somewhat similar turbos plus he has a cam, more timing via the BDDL, and more pressure. I think hes worth more than 515? The overfueling has lost HP in the past but the way these HPCR cams are stock there is alot to be had than what I think people realize. Just a thought though.

Sooo guys, how much power could one expect to get from a cam? and what might said cam cost? and will the truck still be a daily driver?

As to hp for JW I dont know, but I'm gonna say 550+ :D

I just love this stuff, thank god I have some disposable income.

RMalone, The cams in these motors I think are about 7 degrees retarded and have a few degrees of overlap in them, there are some good cams out on the market right now. I think I seen some for about 500 and atleast that to have one installed by someone who knows what they are doing. Expect better MPG better spoolup and driveability, plus smoother and stronger power with lower EGT's.

Brett, I think you are right Justin should be up there pretty good with his setup.

True, But we have all seen that no matter what engine you start with, it is the air/turbo that limits you... And I though he might having trouble spooling enough on that dyno, Just a guess :)

Well, it will never hurt to try it and a lot of us here would actually like to see what happens with all three if you have enough runs. However, in theory it should only bring power down with that stack. As mentioned, you need to keep rail pressure up to make good power. With the TST and BDDL, you have the ability to drain the rail as it is.

Since the TST/BDDL stack will have you well below 20,000psi, the RAMifier will never see the pressure it is looking for and it is not smart enough to know that it will never get there and will just drain the rail of everything it has left. Draining it is not what you want. You need to be able to control it and bring it down to "right on the verge" to make max power. Since the TST/BDDL can already drain the rail to no-power-making levels, the Ramifier in theory should only make it worse unless you have some kind of "Super CP3" that is able to keep up. Of course, no two trucks are exactly the same. Yours may squeeze out a little more power with the Ramifier. You won’t know until you try it.

I know a guy with the same truck, roughly the same setup as yours, without the cam. He finds max power with the TST on 5/6 and BDDL on 90hp. He is getting in the 540 range.

Just got off the Nextel with mr. williams... .

He said he pulled 527hp, and about (if I remember) 970-980ish torq

Not too shabby, and all 3 pulls where over 520!

Looks like all the testing and data that we have collected is starting to let us predict what will happen,( hopefully most of the time) my guess was 535hp.
