What will the '05' have that the 04 didn't?

Got the "I wants" and got it's time to the '97' for a new truck.

Is there anything on the '05' that is worth waiting for...

The way trends go, it's more a question of what the '05's WON'T have that the '04's do... Lots more cases of stuff disappearing off later models than being added - how's that rear carpet - and that neat instant readout MPG on the overhead console, to name a couple...

My 04 didn't come with the rear carpet and I ordered the Laramie package. I guess you could add it on later, if they make it.

my 04. 5 Laramie also did not come with rear floor mats. I was thinking someone jacked them from the dealership lol.

BIG difference between "no rear carpet" and "no rear floor mats"...

They made me tear out the carpet from under the front mats and stitch it into place in the back.

There is rear carpet standard on the SLT, Sport and Laramie package. However you cannot get rear carpet mats with any package. One thing I did notice was the insulation under the hood of my 04. 5 thats not there on the 03.

Ive got rear carpet in my truck, but not floor mats. . big difference. . as far as the hood insulation, I got that on my 04. 5. . funny that they left the hole where the underhood light used to be. . why not cover that up?

My 04 has rear carpet but no mats. I might add that rear wheel wells are "just an option" a $100 option. Now we get to get the pressure washer out every week so the mud dosnt rust out the inner fenders. They also saved on hardener in the paint. It scratches everytime you touch it. Buy the 04 and save with the rebates

Underhood light is pat of the optional Light Group.

I didn't have any rear floor mats either. Thought this was really kinda cheep on a $44000. 00 truck!

The map lights are considered part of the overhead console, so they would appear on all SLTs and Laramies.

Since many like the Cummins option, we get to pay for the other "deal's", so our booty (carpets, lights, fender wells, etc. ) gets smaller and smaller.



But I must say, I love my truck more each time I climb into it and drive away down the street.



Thank goodness they put the engine blanket back in. It makes the engine compartment much quieter.

some of these trucks must randomly get stuff put on them because my window sticker doesn't list inner fenders on the options- but my dually's got 'em. it also lists $100 for on/off road tires but the truck has the $200 option owl on/off road tires. and it has an underhood light. -and floormats
