What will unleaded gas do to a diesel

Well Bushwakr and all were correct, dealer just drained the tank replaced filter cracked three injector lines primed it fired it up, not a problem. the service manager said this happens all the time and not much if any damage, only place this could do any harm is in the pump. who would of thought? I figured it would grenade it, trying to burn pure gasoline. I still wouldn't try it myself.

There was a guy that brought an '01 to the shop with 3/4 tank of gas. After realizing that he put gas in it, he dumped a bunch of two-stroke oil in the tank from his snowmobiles thinking that it would be better than nothing. It died a couple miles down the road. We just cleaned out the fuel system, replaced the filter, and he was good to go. The same guy came back a couple months later with a clutch complaint. At just over 24,000 miles he had burned up his clutch. I wonder about some people. But nobody is perfect .
