Truck is a 1999. My friend ripped off his fass filter wheeling and it killed the vp44 pump. He replaced with reman pump and reman injectors. It didn't want to start. Had to change crank and cam sensor. Still hard to start. Finally got it started drove 5 miles and let it run for 20 minutes. Wait 2 hours and it starts up fine. Next day nothing just cranks and cranks. Sounds like it doesn't have compression when cranking over now. Started to pull injectors and this is what they look like. What happened? HELP please
Only way to diagnose an injector is to have it pop tested. I agree with Gary, double check all your work on the new injection pump and lift pump. It sounds like you have a leak somewhere causing a loss of prime.
