What would kerosene do to my motor if i ran it for pulling? Is there any benefit if it didn't harm it, or could i run a mix? say 75/25 or what not. the reason i ask is me and a buddy had a disagreement about it the other night and he said it was possible. I'd like to know what you guys think.

Thanks

Andy

kerosene vs. diesel.....

Kerosene basicly is diesel #1. Kerosene has a slightly lower btu rating than diesel #1 and the centistroke/lubricity is slightly lower than diesel #1. So if less power and long term engine damage is what your looking for go ahead and use it... .

same as the others

kerosene is a good additive for cold weather to reduce gelling. otherwise kerosene will not increase performance. BTU's per pound (or gallon) will determine power output of the different fuels.

I've been in towns that had K-1 and K-2 posted at the pumps, never used any. How close is it to reg. diesel. Still kerosene?
