I'm going to test drive it Sunday. I will be able to give me details, how it drives, interior, etc. The *** mean that I didn't get a chance to look at lift size or wheels since I was in a hurry for Thanksgiving dinner!

That seems really high. I have seen them for 6K in fair condition and 12K in mint with a lot of new parts including trans. I would offer 10K.

Talk to Craig. He finds them once in a while on the trade-in lot for less than 5K.

Well Nick I really don't know what it would be worth with out looking at it myself seems a little steep in price, but for example a friend of mine traded off his Black 95 Dodge CTD 4X4 single cab Dually (with sleeper) 5-speed with 106K miles that he bought new last year. Now this truck was in cherry condition in fact he was a little obsessed with keeping it detailed and maintained. Interior and exterior remarkably super clean all the time, then all of a sudden out of the blue he swapped it in on a 04 used Chevy Z71 gasser. They gave him $8500. 00 trade in. I figured he could of got more myself, but he said "well I had it 10 years and was just tired of it". Someone got them a nice 95 IMO, but I believe they had to pay for it.

It is hard to say without seeing it... . but I am of the opinion as well that the price is too high. I would figure somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-8 thousand.



Has the KDP been done, and is there any rust on it? Any new parts ... ? Tire condition... brakes, Trans been overhauled,... . that type of thing would increase it some.

I sold my '92 W350 Club Cab dually automatic earlier this year for $10k. It had 150k miles and was rust free, plus it had the bigger cab and DRW. Standard cabs seem harder to sell, so I'd think in the $8k-10k range would be about right depending how it runs & drives.

Also, check the truck for rot inside the frame rail along the fuel tank if possible.

Thanks guys. Like I said, looks great from the outside besides the usual. I will ask about brakes, look at tires, look underneath at the frame, ask about new parts, maintenance schedule, KDP, etc, etc. I will update this post! Until then! I will even snag some pics today on the way home!

IMHO, that's too high. I saw a sweet, white, '91 long bed, standard cab, parked at a house in The Homestead a few weeks ago. The body and paint were almost perfect. He had two sets of wheels and tires for it (winter/summer) and it had a camper on it. I think it had like 180k on it. He was selling it for $7,000. Call me if you'd like more info, I may still have the phone number.

I bought a 98 clubcab longbox 4x4 from Texas with a new transmission, lift kit,big wheels and tires and a western v-plow on it for 13,000 last spring so I would say 12,500 is VERY high!

I have an 01 quadcab longbox 5 speed for sale for 17,500 but if that 92 is worth 12,500 I should be asking 32,000 for my 01 with 120k on it.

I would even sell my 00 quadcab longbox 5 speed with 200k for around 15,000.

My point is if you are set on an older truck I would keep shopping because I picked up a 92 dually clubcab 2 wheel with 105k and absolutely perfect shape for 5000 2 weeks ago. Yeah I may be a used car lot dealer but I also purchased all my trucks retail from private individuals for resale.

Hey all! I test drove this truck today! Nothing like my 99 was, but very nice indeed!



Here are ALL the mods, maintenance, etc that the owner and I spoke about while I was there.



1992 W250 3/4 ton

Regular cab

Long bed

5-speed

4x4

Banks exhaust with 4" chrome clamp-tip

Rhino lined bed

Rhino lined cab, from under rear window, all the way up to under the dash

Warn hubs

Ramsey 12,000 lb winch wired into cab

Custom front bumper made for winch

4" dual fog lights on bumper with rock guards

BFG 285/75/16 tires on Mickey Thompson 8-hole wheels, matching spare tire

Captain chair conversion, with middle jump seat and storage box under it

Rancho shocks all 4 corners, Rancho front springs to level up front end

Black fender flares with about 1" overhang

Viper red paint done before 100k miles

Besides stuff mentioned in above post, paint is flawless but needs a wash and wax

K&N air filter

Tinted windows

Rear sliding window

Didn't ask about the KDP, I forgot, but sure it hasn't been done

Rear axle seals, brakes, wheel bearings all done between 70k and 100k miles

Oil changed religiously every 3000 miles

Truck overall not a leak of any kind anywhere

Battery is 2 years old but it started up right away after sitting for two weeks without a block heater

New front grill put on when repainted

4 JBL speakers, one in each corner

Heat is HOT

A/C... well, it was 10* windchill today, I didn't try it



Drives smooth, gets up and goes for the HP it has. 1st is a lot lower than I imagine, but climbs right out of 2nd from a stop. Steering is nice, not sloppy. It was windy also, couldn't tell for sure, but it may need a slight alignment.



Still not worth $12,500, although he showed me the bill of sale from his friend for $15,000 three years ago.



I would say it's still worth about $10,000 to me, but maybe he will get $12,500 from someone else. It is a beautiful truck! Sorry, didn't get any pics, but I will whether I buy it or not!
