2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What ya think about a dealer who treats you like this!

Noticed my emergency brake was slack and I crawled underneath it and the whole dogone tensione/equalizer was gone. That is what I get for going through brush an generally using my ram as a DOZER.



I call the dealer and they look it up, $18, i say fine I want it. He says he has to order it and I have to prepay, I say fine I'll give you a cc, he says NOPE I have to come in. I say look its an 18$ part I want it, I dont want to drive 10 miles over there then have to turn around and drive 10 miles back to pick it up. I then say look I bought this truck from yalls dealership BRAND NEW! ALMOST 30k! yOU CANT ORDER ME A DAMN 18$ PART! He says Nope and I said that is bull$hit.



What kind of place doesnt let people use CC for parts and what kind of place dont give a Dam if you bought a truck from them at all. I'll tell kind of Place... ... ... ... . MARIETTA DODGE in good old Marietta Georgia.



Man do I regret ever buying from them, I have more stories but that is the one from Today

the dealer i bought my truck from gave me a 90. 00 part and said pay when you come back for the other part he ordered for me . he didnt even ask my name. . now if the dealer wasnt so expensive they would be allright.

You can check with these people. They take a cc and the prices are good. I priced a speed sensor at local dealers 46-50 Dollars. Tenafly 23. 00 plus 8 shipping.

Had this happen at Chapman Dodge in Las vegas, called to get a price, $240. 00 he says, OK order it I say, need a deposit says he, let me get my card, we only accept deposits in person he says rather bluntly, but I am 1 1/2 hrs out of town and cant get to town untill next week and would like to pick up my parts then, I guess you'll leave a deposit next week then, he said and hung up on me :-{}

I got it from mopar4less for $170. 00, with a credit card.

I just love bashing my local Dodge "Five Star" Dealership. We took the truck in for the lift pump. When the job was done they "re-flashed" the computer to mask the bad oil pressure sensor that they should have replaced under warrentee. AC mysteriously lost it's charge, drivers side window now sticks(must be the cold weather) and cam position sensor "died".....

Oh yeah, the air filter which I check with each oil change was completly obstructed?

and the brakes had 10% left... . funny I still got 1/2 the pads left?

I have been a mechanic of some kind for the past 30 years.

Crown dodge in ventura ca. has really disappointed me.

Quite a few people have posted how they like and respect their local dealer in the past. Please correct me if I'm wrong; but I don't recall any of those folks living in California.

I have ordered parts through jerry reneau dodge in paso robles (one in CA for ya), so far i dont have any complaints, always done my own work though, never had to do a deposit yet, always had the cheapest price of the three dealerships near me, by as much as $50 on a $250 part... . on the other hand, stanley motors, now cole dodge, every time i have called for a part, they either didnt have it, would take atleast on day longer to get it than anyone else, and would charge 20% more...
