Hi BIG- hope all's well.
I have a tattle tale, and it's never let me down. This may be THE test.
2007 and down trucks are 5. 9's they have the chrome letters and numbers on the door. Like this.

2007. 5 and up trucks have the 6. 7 with the DPF, etc, and have the newer badges on the door- rectangular with the colors. like this.

My '07 5. 9L had the newer badging. As I understand it all 2007s had the new badging regardless of engine.

I would be willing to bet that the aux. tank is an aftermarket item that may have been installed by the dealer.

I know that I asked for it when I bought mine in 04 but haven't worried about it since they didn't have it and installed one in bed, this is supposed to be factory under bed, but like you I don't think so.

Big if there is an aftermarket fuel tank I would bet that the truck was used for pulling a camper or trailer of some sort. I would look to see if there is a brake controller mounted or removed from the dash area. I would also check the bed for four holes for the fifth wheel hitch rails if he pulled a 5er. Have the owner of the truck provide you pictures of the engine bay to see if there are any add on items.

Just some areas to look for.

Ex Boss Man took it to Cal Pacific Cummins Riverside, Rialto, Bloomington CA one of those city's, where we used to get our work done on company trucks, they gave it the Twice Over and said that someone had drove it off the lot, put 65,222 miles on it and parked it.

Yep. Probably the first thing that I would do would be install added filtration on that truck.

Was thinking it would be the same as mine WAS!! but then thought about it, its got the in-tank, barely good enough lift pump in the tank. He's going to be here in a few weeks and wants to take care of both the Lift pump and filtration then.

I've been running a 2um filter between the factory filter and the CP3 for quite a while. No issue with the stock in tank pump. Roughly a 1 psi drop at the head of the CP3 under all conditions from when the filter wasn't in there.

A 2-3 um high flow filter between the OE cannister and CP-3 doesn't even register drop on my old mechanical gauge at idle. The stock LP in the tank is pretty good for the most part.

I am over 213k on the stock LP and will still hold at or above 5 psi with a 100 hp tune on full tilt boogie. Add the extra filter, add one of the 4" pleat air filter to the air box and do a fresh air mod, add a Smarty, sit back and enjoy the trip.
