I make a part for your computer. Its the suspension. The suspension holds the head that reads the hardrive. The fly height between the head and disc is 4 millionths of an inch. There are three componants to a suspension. T flex, loadbeam & baseplate. I make the baseplate. There are 2 styles of baseplates. The arm wich is flat. Then there is the swageable wich has a boss tower. The swageable is about the size of your pinky's finger nail. The tower has angles and radius inside wich you can only be seen magnified. My actual job title is Die Setter. I set stamping dies in a stamping press. We have 7 60 ton Bruderer presses. I can make 900 parts in a minute. Thats a lot in 10 hours. Its also a place not to be when you have a headache. Ive done this for nine years. I think its time for a change.

Registered Pharmacist at (currently) world's largest pharmacy. (Merck-Medco Rx, Las Vegas,NV). Somewhat cold and impersonal, compared to practicing retail, but, my shift is 5:00am-1:30pm... lots of interesting systems there to enable ~160 Pharmacists (and 1200support personnel) to do over 700,000 prescriptions a week. Feels a bit like a "factory", also. Only pharmacy I've ever worked at where a guy can get run over by a forklift.

By day, I'm a at home MOM, uhh, I mean dad, for my youngest daughter (4 YOA). My wifes a school teacher (2nd grade). After 1500, I change hats and am a Police Officer here in Vernon Twp. , now in my 14th year. I'm still a Patrolman, as a upgrade to SGT. means a indeterminate sentence to midnights, not for me right now. I am also the dept. 's rangemaster, assistant adminstrator for the crap server/work stations that we have, armorer(Glock),O. C. spray instructor and FTO (field training officer for new recruits). My interests include long walks on the beach #ad
(yeah, right, nearest one is 2 hours away), quite candle lite dinners #ad
and the smell of DIESEL #ad

My job is to repair and recalibrate the radio and control modules that are used in the Ministry of Highways (Provincial Government) radio repeater system. There are approximately 180 repeater sites, mostly solar-powered, throughout the province and I've worked on most of the 3000-odd (very odd) modules in the system. Occasionally, but not often enough, I get to fly out by helicopter and do on-site work. I've been an active ham radio operator since 1963 and hold that hobby fully responsible for my present (and past) occupations. I got fired from IBM (one of the few) years ago, and have a separation check for $0. 05 that I have never cashed. I hope their books are still unbalanced! I fly a 172M for fun, owned a 182N for a while, and am dancing around the idea of building a Van's RV-7A when I get time. I ran a Max Wedge superstocker (best of 10. 94/123. 28 in 1976). I'm 54 years old next month, but don't get to retire for another 106 years. I hope my Cummins outlasts me, because Betty Lee says she'll kill me if I buy any more vehicles! (a 426 HEMI-powered F. I. Dakota would be VERRY nice!) #ad
