I am a paramedic, have been for about five years now. I am also the Assistant Director for our small service. I also dispatch for the local sheriff's office.

Sure are alot of interesting responces here. . I work as A working boss in A welding shop in A local Taconite mine . . We rebulid shovel buckets of various sizes . . 14 cubic yard , 28 c. yd. 35 c. yd. 37c. yd. they are the largest buckets around this area. .
 
Fancy stuff

I own a decorative concrete business where we pour concrete that looks like tile, slate, brick, and various other designs... We also do concrete crack fixing, re leveling, resurfacing and 3/8 inch overlays on existing concrete floors. A lot of time and precision go into this work but the totally happy customers make it all worth the effort!
 
Professional Bread Delivery Driver; i am the guy who up at 2:30-3:00 in the morning delivering pita bread, bagels and tortillas to the grocery stores. Been doing it for 13 years now,not what i like to be doing but the money is good(for bombs)get to work alone and get to do things my way(no boss looking over your shoulder all the time). Bad side of things is that i have to drive a ferd for a living(PIECE OF JUNK), but it lets me enjoy my drive home in my CUMMINS!!!

i'm in the manufacturing business since 1980. father/son business (i'm the son). we make and sell our own in house designed test instruments for the adhesives industry. if you put a tape down on a surface and you want to know how much force it takes to peel it off, our machine measures it. we can also measure coefficient of friction on packaging materials, floor finishes and the like. our customers are 3M, Avery, J&J, Mobil plastics, Westvaco and many others. its a small (6 people) organization, privately held. i am production manager, CNC programmer, toilet cleaner, furnace repair... . you name it. the normal small business routine.

Well... a falling apart paramedic/firefighter for the last 6 years... . And like 99. 9% of my brothers... I would not trade my job for anything in the world... .
 
Until recently I worked for a contractor doing water & sewer work. Now after a little disagreement I am self employed. I now do Horizontal Directional Drilling in eastern Mass. Ever wonder how they get pipes under the road with out digging up the highway? 8 months I drill holes in the ground and the other 4 I push snow around in a parking lot. Oo.
 
Retired military after 3 yrs Army and 19 years Navy. Currently doing field service work for various mortgage lenders, securing and maintaining vacant and distressed properties, and evicting people. Occassionally scout vehicles for repo agents.



I always carry 3 dog biscuits in my pocket (average amount that will get me back to the truck) and a 27" ball bat in case it's further.
 
Flight line mech on fighter type aircraft mostly navy, 20+ years from crusaders to hornets, last gig @ Mc-boing 12yrs. One day I'm doing full afterburner in a 15 the next day after defense cuts I'm in my DD6-71 powered dodge against the governer hauling blocks for ret. walls, lots of noise&smoke in both cases.
 
I am a full time student in the boring town of Waco hopefully get a BS in Aviation science within 3 years and be an airline pilot. Its been my dream ever since i was 2 years old.
