Why hrdrogen is NOT the answer.....

The most economical car I ever run was a 1984 Honda Civic with the 1. 3L engine. (5 speed). After 250k I was still getting in the very high fourties at highway speeds. Would get 50+ when it was new. Was still running excellent when I sold it after I retired. It was my commuter car. Wish I had it back now.

Another vote for the TDI! ours is never less than 48 with my fat butt and foot driving it,my kid is always over 50 when he takes it to work and back. wife has a throw away Kia Optima and it gets in the mid 30's, she has put 65k on it in the past 2 yrs with no problems at all. Can't wait to see how long it goes! her 91 Explorer was over 350k when we sold it to the guy down the street and he is still driving it! damn thing won't die!!
