Just curious what a 95 2500 4 wheel drive complete rolling frame is worth. It's complete with front axle/ rear D-80 axle, Truck had 130,000 miles on it, not sure of gear ratio yet. Thanks for any replys.
The engine alone should be worth $4,000 to $5,000. The axles are not cheap to go out and buy either. Depending on who has it and how well you know the individual, make an offer that is substantionally below the sum of the parts. I'm guessing a salvage dealer would try to buy the rolling chassis for $2,000 as a starting point. Now if a salvage yard has it, thay may be into it $2,000 or less. But they pay the rent by making some on each sale. Make an offer that's too cheap-- then you can go up as needed. Always easier to go up when buying, and down when selling than the other way around.
By the way, I'd love to find a unit like what you're describing that I could afford to use as the chassis under my '48 Ford F-2.
