Any opinions on the better 'box'. i only wan't a small increase. what about the V. A. ?I see i can get the va from more than one source, who's best? or what about the TST? Or the power edge ez? I am putting on a 4" jardine exaust and gauges.

TST's boxes are "major" fueling boxes, if you are looking for a minor uprate the PE E/Z box is probably your best bet because it includes a boost module with it (to avoid defueling or setting codes above 20 psi of boost), the VA box doesn't come with that. Once you get into the "major" fueling boxes things get a little more complex.

Steve, thanx! i know you said my stock clutch should be ok,but, is there anything else i would need to watch out for with the PE EZ? (IE, excess egt temps,is the ez compatible with the criuse control and other electric components?)

The EZ module will work just fine with the cruise control. It is a bit much for my clutch if I am not care-fuel. If I romp on it, it will slip the clutch fairly easily. I have mine set on the middle setting to try to tone down the fueling til the RPM's (boost) come up. It is not as likely to slip the clutch if the RPM's come up before the extra fuel hits.

Benson, if you are slipping your stock clutch with just an EZ box then there's something wrong or you have major mileage on it. That should not be a problem at all - I beat on my clutch BAD with my powermax (more power than an EZ could ever put out - 275 hp/660 ft/lbs at the rear wheels) and never saw a slip, only smelled it twice. That was at the sand dunes on a 35 degree plus climb for over a 1/4 mile and that ONLY happened when I had to lift because a quad was crossing over my line and then immediately hammered it again! I even added 275 injectors after that (313/763) and never saw or smelled it slip on the street. I have heard that the ETH/DEE clutch doesn't hold as much as the ETC clutch will so maybe that's the case.

Paycheck - with an ETC 5 sp you should have no worries at all with a PE EZ box.

Steve, I guess there is something to that ETH clutch not being so hot. My major mileage on the truck when I installed the EZ was about 1500 miles. I have it set on the middle setting now to tone it down a tad.

Thanx for the advice! I think steve just about has me convinced to use the PE EZ over the VA. If i ever do put in a new clutch(when!) it will be the sachs. thanx again!
