aftrer transmission is warm sometimes when I get into the throttle the truck feels like it studders or bucks on accelation and also when I drive it with overdrive off lets say at like 1900rpm barely touching throttle it feels like is shifting in and out of either lockup or between 2nd and 3rd transfluid looks good and right level I have 30,000 on DTT trans about 10,000 miles ago I replaced govenor preesure sensors in valvebody it only does it sometimes it started last night

I had the same trouble with the transmission going in and out of overdrive. You'll find a ton of posts on this subject. Some call it,,, "hunting".

I ordered the DTT noise filter and also made sure that my battery terminals were cleaned. This worked for a few months. Then,, every so often, I'd feel that lousy RPM jump, in and out of OD!

Some of our trucks produce excessive electrical noise which causes this problem. (Another screw up by those rocket scientists who designed these trucks) One of our members came up with the idea of by-passing the circuit (two wires) between the ECM and the APS (I think those are correct). This removes those wires from the main harness where they evidently pick up the electric noise from the other circuits.

I did this procedure and haven't had any problems for aproximately the last 2,000 miles. I don't have the specifics with me at present. I'm currently at work. I'll get more information for you tomorrow regarding the members name. He has the color coding for the specific years.

this just sucks anyway on way to work truck did it again this time I was going up slight incline about 75mph on gas in overdrive and truck started to studder i would let off pedel it would stop hit pedel again it would do it I let off then next time it was fine. also sometimes I still get that hunting between 2nd and 3rd fluid looks great and level is good

A summary of the causes .

Bad connection at the battery posts, bad connect at the right battery harness. Look below the air cleaner and trace the wires to the frame area.

You can remove the wires from the harness that crosses over to the alt. too.

But most trucks respond well to the noise filter from DTT.

I agree these trucks need filters all thru them.

I agree that these design engineers are not a trouble shooters friend.

I worked 26 years ago in an electronics plant, the engineer on one product that had 7 circuit boards had different labels on the same wire, different ends. When I asked him about it he said he didn't know how to label them identical or even similar. They -the company- had a lot of issues with that product. Go figure. Several engineers would come out the plant where we worked and would 'pick 'our brains for ideas.

They made 2 times what we did. Go figure. I left on the 'soon train'.
