What's it weigh?

Is there a way to find out how much my truck weighs without putting it on a scale? There is nothing on the window sticker and the driver's door sticker shows the GVWR, but that isn't the truck weight, is it?

To find out what it actually weighs you need to go to the scales, truck stops and gravel yards, if you ask nicely will usually do it for free. There are so many different options for each truck it just never seems to be the same, so my suggestion is get a full tank of fuel and head to the scales.

Mine weighs just at 7,000 lbs. empty with part of a tank of fuel.

There should be a shipper that comes with the truck. It lists all the options, and the shipping weight. At least I had one for my '01. The dealer may not pass them on to the owner. The invoice for my '01 also had the weight. They were pretty close to the scale weight. The document at http://www.klenger.net/dodge/3rd-gen-reference/2004-ram-towing.pdf has curb weights for the dirrerent configurations, and should be reasonably close. It doesn't account for all the options, but most of them don't add much to the weight anyway.

Dodge.com will show you a "curb weight" on various models. Mine is shown as 6400. They usually end up weighing a good bit more from all the stuff we seem to accumulate and carry around with us. My '98. 5 weighted 7200 with me in it & a half tank of fuel. That's on certified scales.

I think for Michigan registration there is something about the weight. I remember seeing 7351 on my paperwork someplace.

4200 up front 2100 or 2300 out back. i weighed it for dmv purposes these figures are off the top of my head. ill look at it again and post this weekend. this is w/less than 1/4 tank of gas, spair tire and tailgate removed.

Shipping weight on mine was 7351#. Cat scaled at 8440# with a full tank of fuel, 5er hitch, Rhino liner, toolbox (maybe 100#) and an 80# Golden Retriever. Dog should go on a diet.

Weighed my yesterday morning, full of fuel, myself, buddy who said he weighs 175lbs, and about 50lbs of little stuff in the back seat. 8240lbs

I weighed mine right after I bought it, full fuel tank and me in it, 7400 lbs.

Mine weighs 6,750 with full tank of gas, and no driver. Stoped by local grain elevator that we haul all of our grain to and they weighed it for free!!!! Just ask, most guys at those places..... if not swamped are really cool.

weighed mine on a certified scale. Full tank 7746lbs. I made sure I had nothing in it. This thing is a freakin tank!
