What's it worth?

I have found a 90 regular cab D-350 SRW truck locally for sale. If I was to buy it for the drivetrain what could I get for a rust free southern cab and bed. It is a plain jane truck, all white with a little paint peel on one door, plain interior which is still in very good condition. It is a 5 speed truck with 250,000 miles on the body but only 70,000 miles on the Cummins rebuilt engine and the transmission was rebuilt at the same time. I would like to have the transmission and rear end for a spare and to upgrade my suspension to the 1 Ton. I don't know if it would keep the engine or not as from what I understand it is a little different from my 92 such as head, injectors and so on. I need to get some of my money back on body parts in order to afford to buy it and I though someone from the rust belt could use the rust free parts. It comes with a cheap aluminum camper shell and a extra fuel tank in the bed. It was equipped with a fifth wheel but it has been removed and was used by an ederly man to pull a camper so it has been well maintained. I'm just trying to get a feel for the demand for the parts I won't need.

Just to give you an idea of what things sell for up here. The local business ( 2 of them) within 100 miles of each other, sell rust free cabs with the doors for 750 to 1000. Truck beds go for 650 and up, depending upon condition.

These prices do vary because of condition, dents and such.



Thing is to find someone that needs them that is willing to pay for them.

For several months I have been looking for a deal on a club cab to replace one I have with damage. Prices vary from around $400. 00 and up.

I bought a 91. 5 350 automatic last month for $2000. Rust free, excellent tool body which I'll sell. Once they get to the age and mileage you're looking at condidtion is everything. It could be worth nothing (scrap) or it might be worth over $5000 to some people. Your decision to make.

I found a cab in Georgia for $200, however, I didn't want to drive 18 hours for it. The condition was supposed to be good too.

I'd like to sell my aluminum welding body and put a box back on. I'd even let the 5th hitch go with it if needed. Pics in readers rigs. (hint hint)

I talked to him, bought a transmission from him already. I have to R&R this transmission first if I want that cab too. Weather got crazy on us again and tomorrow will be worse. Anyone to the east of us can expect some weather soon.
