Found a 93 D250 extended cab 2wd diesel (of course). Its got just a hair over 100k on it. What would be a good price to offer. An older gentleman has it now and is thinking of getting rid of it. He said if the price was right he would sell it.

I have a 2nd and 3rd gen... But I want a first gen to add to my collection!

Any help is appreciated.

Craig

Sounds awesome! One you get a first gen you will want to get rid of the other two! People just dont understand how good these old tuck are! ;)

I guess a few questions come up. Stick or auto? How's the body? 100k is. Great mileage but ifthe body is rusted, dented, or has peeling paint, that will make a huge difference in price.

I believe it's auto... Haven't looked at it up close. The body appears to be in good shape all around. The dark green paint on the lid is starting to peel, and little if any rust.

Thanks

Hi Craig,

Sounds like a pretty good start. As far as a price, it really depends on your area. That same truck out here would easily start getting offers in the $5-6k range. One just sold a few months back for $5500 and it was a bit rough and had 230k miles on it. Times are tough however, but guys (and gals) are starting to realize the importance of a vehicle that's in it for the long haul. Now just from a quick search on comparable vehicles in your area, i'd personally start around $3500-$3800 with a max of $5000. Remember, as soon as you get it home you need to do the kdp and the case bolts. Plus whatever you find along the way, stuff adds up quickly;)

1st Gen=Great truck!

Offer a good price. Buy the truck;) . 100K=that's a new/old 1st Gen if you ask me. If you don't like it, someone else will. If you like/love it, sell one of the other trucks or keep 'em all. CTD one of the finest inventions since sliced bread:-laf If you read online much, and read your magazine you know pros and the cons of all generations. If you buy the first Gen, I bet you _______ (fill in the blank) you drive it more that the others.

Just my $. 02

:D Patrick.
