I'm not sure if this is allowed or not, I'm not trying to sell it (yet), just trying to get an idea of what everything is worth.

'01 3500 4x4 SLT+ H. O. 6 spd Quad Cab 86,000 miles

The Motor: Edge Drag Comp, Upgraded fuel lines, DDII injectors, Banks high ram, B-1 Kwikspool Turbo, 4" exhaust, Southbend Con OFE, Horton Fan clutch.

The rest: Stainless grille guard, stainless nerf bars, stainless rocker panels, stainless mud flaps, Truxedo bed cover, A. R. E. topper, nearly new Michelins, spray in bed liner. Interior is leather with dual heated power seats.

Everything is in excellent condition.

Would I be better off taking everything off the truck and selling it individually? Or should I sell it "as is" for a higher price? What kind of price seems reasonable? What would a nearly new Drag Comp and B-1 be worth? I know I can go to KBB.com and get a value, but that doesn't account for the extra 10 - 15 grand I put into it.

Thanks guys!

Jerry

Not sure about resale price but...

why are you thinking of selling. Hopefully you won't be going Ram-less. Just curious BTW. :)

Take the goodies off!

If you are looking at trading it into the dealer you will be getting around $26K with or without the goods. A private party sale would be higher then the dealer but to get your money's worth I would sell the trinkits on the side.

My father in law is looking at trading in a 01. 5 HO w/all options and 50k miles. Dealer would only give him $27k.

You definately wouldn't want to trade it in. Dealer will probably not give you any more with the mods so if by chance you do decide to trade it in... take everything off and sell them individually. The only downfall with selling a heavily modified truck is that the banks usually only loan up to blue book value for a used car so unless the buyer has a lot of cash to put down he would get the loan. Also the average Joe will not want to spend the extra money for it and will think it was "beat on". But then you can always try to sell it as is and if you don't get any bites than take the stuff off and adjust the price accordingly. Good luck. :)

About 28k here in the gateway city. However you might have a little trouble selling it to the average truck owner with all those goodies.

Good Luck.

The stealer told me $27,500 against retail on his truck, or $21,500 if I'm buying the new truck at invoice. He said to completely strip it before I traded it. I tend to agree with Chipstein, unless I can find somebody who knows what the stuff is and appreciates it, the average Joe will think it's been hammered on.

Does anybody know how the truck would run completely stock with only DDII's? How bad would it smoke considering it would be stock turbo and stock wastegate?

Take all the mods off,

act like they have never been on the truck.

Mods might scare some buyers off, dealers too.

Put stock injectors back in it also, you can usually get sets for about 100 bucks on tdr classifieds.

My brother just bought a used 01' SLT fully loaded, nerf bars and sprayed in bedliner. It was a HO Cummins 6-Sp Ext Cab 4x4 with 20000 miles and he paid the dealer a little over $27000 so if he payed $27k the guy who traded it in must have gotten a bad deal. This was a clean truck nice all around.

Would it actually set an overboost code with the stock turbo and the stock wastegate? Wouldn't that limit it to the 20psi or so? I could see that it would smoke though... hmmmm

If it comes to it, I'd make somebody a hell of a deal on a set of DDII's, basically give me your stock ones and a hand changing them out in my shop, throw in a couple of beers and we got a deal.

Real nice truck. Mine is a 1998. 5 with a loan about to expire. I will not be trading in or selling. Aftermarket bumper -PRO-ZAP stainless,BHAF, guages, pusher pump, braided fuel lines, horton, spray in bedliner, 50 gallon AERO in stock location, 38 Gallon transfer flow, rickson 19. 5's. I want the new truck but put a lot of blood $$ into this one. Engine and trans/driveline are still stock ( except for the three Mag hytech covers ). All these are a PITA to remove. And I got rid of the old parts ( I was going to keep this forever- Right). And we will all have to come to the realization that our trucks instantly became obsolete when the first "improved" 2003"s rolled out of mexico and St. louis. They still do everything and more that we bought them for. But I do want a new truck. I do NOT need a new truck. I am going to buy one anyway. In mind a pre EGR ETH/DEE 2004 SRW 3500 LWB laramie :D

Well I think the truck is sold to the same guy who bought my decked out '94. When I told him it had $2,800 worth of Turbo and Drag Comp his eyes about popped out. I think my old HX-35 16cm and an EZ box go back on the truck:rolleyes: Oh well, she'll still run pretty strong that way

Is anybody interested in trading me their EZ for my Drag Comp and some moolah? Maybe a B-1 to complete the package? :D

Am I overstepping the boundaries to ask about trading and stuff on here?
