Under lite throttle its hunting for gears 2 and 3. It has thrown no codes and seems to be normal at half throttle and more. The trans teche said the band you can get to externally was out of adjustment but it may have made it worse. I've read threads on transducers and gov pressure solonoids, and the trans shop owner said the dont have anything to do with each other. Any suggestions or comments from anyone whos been there would be great. Thanks. (new to me 04)
 
Trans shop owner evidently doesn't have anything to do with transmissions either, at least the Dodge ones.



It is a typical symptom of the governor solenoid and\or transducer. Not the only source of thta symptom but a common one.



Couple of ways to fix it, OEM parts are about $50 x 2 pieces. I get about 40k and they are done for.



There are 3 different aftermarket upgrades to the solenoid which is the main problem. All of them have proven to be better than OEM so far.
 
Stock or programmer on engine? Mine started doing this, what is known as "flare shift", after I put the Bullydog on. I had a DTT shift enhancer put on (along with bands adjusted) and it took care of it.
 
on light launch 2-3-2, my lift pump was the last part of my problem I found. Bands, governor solenoid and I guess low fuel pressure from the original lift pump fixed with new LP.
