Help

Have a 02 with DTT TC and valve body, what would I need to make an exhaust brake work on my truck and what would total cost be, estimate parts only? DW

I've been looking for some time at this but my truck is older and no trans. upgrades yet , so most info I have is for my yr. &mdl. but you might want to call DTT but I think that your TC may work but you need to get to the wiring to add a sw. then you have an opp. of 1-2or 3 way sw. [mistery switch] more ways more control , then whitch manufacture and direct or remote mnt. some require a air compressor, some work better at lower RPMs. if you take time and whatch the classafides you could find for about 400-600$ if you buy new then 1,200-1,600.

The cost of the Smart Controller is available on the DTT web site I believe. (425??) It makes exhaust brakes possible with their transmissions. Did you get the billet input when you had your trans done? I think this is almost a requirement for exhaust brakes. The install of the Smart Controller is involved but not too difficult. I did mine on my own with a few calls to the folks at DTT for help. They are good to deal with.
