What's new for '07???

Heard about the new engine/trans.



What is it?



EPA?



Auto vs. 6-speed?



What I'm really interested in is a mega-cab/ long-bed(isn't everyone?). Any news??????

Looks like from all the press photos on TDR, the '07 Trucks will get a new 2500/3500 Heavy Duty badge on the door, symetrical to the "Cummins" emblem on the fender. I personally like the Bigger designation on our older trucks, looks just right, and sets the looks apart from those tiny badges on the Ferd & Cheby.

Looks like alot are interested(views). But not alot of info.



Just read the Chassis/cab article, still not enough info.



Anyone know much about the 6-speed auto? I was thinking of getting the 6-speed manual next time for towing reasons, but now wonder if this new auto will do the job.



The lower output of the new engine doesn't thrill me either.

The Aisin 6 sp auto is a good hvy duty model. I wouldn't worry to much about HP as torque and gearing are what gets the job done.

Do not go by the engine ratings they are showing, they are not necessarily correct. And they may actually be downrated because it is a more conservative "commercial" duty rating. All the ratings on the ISB in the other applications is lower HP and Higher Tq. When we see it in the normal P/U's it should be rated the same or higher than the competitions' trucks, IMHO
