Well, My dealer found one. I picked it up today. A 3500 single wheel 4x4 with the nv5600. I am not saying anything bad about the g56, however I will say this new nv5600 shifts significantly better than the one I had in my 2002. I am happy and the dealer has my money, so I am sure he is happy as well.

Congrats!!! I'm jealous. That's amazing you found one. What was the color and the total on the window sticker? Enjoy!!!

Really? Have you ever changed a clutch? When I worked at a machine shop, I ground an awful lot of flywheels that the customers would tend to disagree with you and they'd say their flywheel was quite worn.

Worn to the point of replacement? Not always, but not uncommon. Worn? Absolutely... . the flywheel is a friction surface.

I've changed several clutches, and checked the flywheel ... ... ... . some needed resurfaced, some didn't. This G56 could be, change the flywheel and check the clutch!

You say "machine shop" ... ... ... do you mean machine shop or automotive machine shop?

Frankly, I'd be more concerned with the dual-mess (oops... dual-mass) flywheel that comes as part and parcel with the G56 - especially if I planned any power upgrades down the road.

JMHO.....

Rusty

The dm flywheel didn't work out so well for Ford. Don't know why they think they'll work here either.

If I had a truck with one, a SBC clutch would be my first BOMB, after gauges, of course. ;)

Mercades Benz.

I'm so sick of all the whining.

People need to just get over it

moron that forgot to load their brain before they shot their mouth looked stupid then, too.

crybabies, and insanely stupid.

Whine about something else...

There are so many better things to worry about, yet you morons continue to shoot off that the mouth.

I'm so tired of this arguement. Get over it

Don't like it? Buy something else, it's the American way.

There is so much stupidity on this board about this issue I just can't take it anymore.

Deja vu!!

Those are some of the exact same thoughts I had when I read your first 200 posts when you where waiting for the G56 hold to be lifted.

I hope your post & quote has a little longer shelf-life than the one I posted yesterday.

I guess one or more of the moderators didn't like a similar assembly of my words, MABurns.

Automotive machine shop. We didn't do engines though. Brakes, stuff requring a press (u joints, wheel bearings, diff bearings, etc. ) and surface grinding. We sent our engine stuff out... not enough of it to generate profit at our location.
