What's that box????

Anyone happen to know what that little black box is that is mounted directly underneath the center seat in my '99? It seems to just site there by itself.

It's got a cable harness coming out of it too. . hmmmmmm... .

I believe it's the air bag control module.

Shawn, I removed my middle seat and while I was moving the metal plate the seatbelts kept locking up, so I have been telling everyone that it is the seatbelt computer. Tilt it forward and it thinks you are stopping hard. I may be wrong, anyone know for fact?

I think that somehow it IS related to the seatbelts or something. I also noticed that the seatbelt wiring comes into the same wiring harness as does the box.

I have mounted a VHF radio under this center seat and want to know what I can expect with radio interference, should there be any.

(If air bags go off when I transmit, well that's REAL bad #ad
)

If you have power seats, I believe that box is for that.
