H'yar 'tis----also, average mpg (urban mix driving) been a real solid 15. 5-16. 5 with verrrrry gradual improvement as break-in (and BOMBing) progresses

------------------
mildly BOMBed 98. 4 1B7KF23D4WJxxxxxx-- BD's #5 plate and 210HP injectors--BD Brake and the associated transmission bomb goodies (except for TC,currently), 4" open exhaust (short),Psychotty, camper shell, Warn front receiver, G159Unisteels on Rickson 19. 5's. . CD player is bone stock, so are the seats. PrimeLoc, also remote spin-on filter for the auto trans... Pyro,Boost and Trans temp from Isspro,
Westin nerf rails(black),
bent welding rod to hang celphone on dashboard...
240HP on Dynojet from 75-105mph drumspeed.

If the wife drives it runs 23 to 27 mpg. If I drive it runs 20 to 24. One would think that should tell me something... I figure no tickets musta been a safe trip... Pulling loads it will vary from 12 to 16 depending on several things. A full fuel load and my big hinney will put the truck @ 8800 lbs. Biggest help is the overdrive splitter to keep the rpm's down but don't get caught lugging which I do now and then. The temps really rise quick when ya do that but the click of a button will bring those back into control quickly with the increase of some RPM meaning more air & boost for the turbo...

Going to work, about 145 miles round trip on my last tank got 20. 8 that includes city and country driving. Started out at 17 but it has got better with more miles about 27000 now. Engine, transmission, rear diff on Amsoil. Still have to do front diff. and transfer case. Last few tannks have been 20+ but with an occasional 19+ in there. 65-70 on highway.

'97 Ram 3500, 5 speed 4WD- Best I ever got was 17 on the interstate at 65 mph/ 2200 rpm. (3:54 gears). Usually get 14 to 15 all the time whether I'm empty or pulling a 20' gooseneck with 3000#. Better since installing the TST torque plate- used to get 12. 5 to 14 before, plus TONS more power now!

24. 2 mpg. Buffalo NY to Dayton OH. 45 degrees. 65-70 mph. Since the day I bought it new in '95, the Cummins/Dodge has averaged 20. 2 mpg. I record every fillup and enter it in my computer to track for problems. It's helped more than once.

For the total month of September.
Total average came out to 21. 05 mpg.
Oh yaa one trip or tank full is not an accurat way too figure mileage. Do at least a months worth of driving.

On a trip from Ft Collins CO to Calhan CO and back got 250 miles from 10. 9 gal of diesel. Same pump, same station. 92 D350 club cab auto 3. 55 gears, 70-80 mph. No strong winds or anything unusual. My 93 W350 club cab 5 speed 4. 10 got 19 or so on a trip to Denver at 65. Never taken it on a long trip. After I install a splitter, i expect to do much better on hwy.

My Truck: Stock for now, 96, 2500, 4x4, auto, 3. 55's, stock size tires 245/75/16 (way too small but good in the snow).

All time best is 21. 65. That was traveling at speed of 55 - 60. Average Intersate MPG are around 19. 5 traveling 70-75.

Just got back from a 352 trip, 40 miles were stop and go city driving, air temp averaged 35 degrees, had my tonneau cover on, synthetic in front and rear end only, and DCI+ in the fuel tank, the trip was 19. 8 mpg. I was pretty happy with this being winter fuel in our area.

I hope after some bombing to get a little better mileage, but I really can't complain. The best my 1500, Dodge, 360, 4x4, auto ever got was 14. 65.

Ryan

Last 20k average is 19. 4. One tank high was 23. 8mpg. Winter fuel and cold has gotten last 3500 miles down to 18. 2. Lowest ever was pulling boat full of stuff with a 30 mph headwind, got 15. 9. Mileage and power improved to about 40k.

I once saw 99 MPG (on the computer) going down a long freeway off ramp with the engine at idle. Does that count?

The best milage i have ever got was 23. 6 MPG on a 160 + mile trip after removing the cat & adding a 1 chamber flowmaster muffler. (3. 5 rear 65-75 mph summer 80 + deg. )normal city 17-19 freeway 18-21

Richard G. That's really terrible milage. You need to see about checking the turbo hoses. If it isnt them then you might make an appointment with the dealer. If no satisfaction is had there then take it to a Cummins service center. They will look the whole thing over, and probably find the problem.

------------------
Y2K, 2500, 4x2, QC, 3. 54 LSD, Auto, patriot blue. K&N, silencer ring put back in. 14000 miles as of 1-05-01. best milage:28. 5 mpg. transmission reflashed

I can get 22 hwy, unloaded, @ 65... this with a 99 quadcab, 4:10, auto 4x4, and 255s for tires. Lately, getting 16-17 combined, and seems to be maybe cause of the winterized diesel.

My best mpg was 25. 03 @ about 70 MPH. This was all on Interstate 10 from Eloy, AZ to Tucson, to Phoenix, back to Tucson and back to Eloy, filled at same pump both fillups. Usually runs about 20 everyday drivin'. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I had a 100 mile stint in the snow at 50-55mph"27. 9". But average about 21-23 empty. Nothing lower than 12 pulling fifthwheel and boat.
