Whats the best power box/Monitor?

Been out of the market for a while and I don't know much on whats new out there. .



For years I have been happy with my Edge EZ and 4 wire Blue chip box. . Now that I have a new VP-44, I can't use my 4 wire as it pierces the wire and that will void the warranty.



I have Gauges including fuel, Pyro and Turbo pressure. I was looking at the Edge Juice Attitude and heard about the Smarty. .



What is the best bang for the buck? Has to be able to be adjustable on the fly and able to turn on an off... I tow heavy so I don't need insane HP amounts,. . just like around 400 at the wheels... . Like I said, all I have right now is the old Edge EZ.

Depending on where you get the VP, tapping the wire doesn't void your warranty.

From what I read on a local board last week DDP asks you to wait 2,000 miles, then tap the wire. I also read that Rip allows it.



I could be wrong, but that is what I read.

I love my Juice w/Attitude, it has 8 readings available and you can view 4 at once so you can pick 4 that don't inculde your other gauges and have so you will have 7 readings at one time with your other 3 gauges

Rip Rook. when i bought mine, i told him that i was going to tap it. he told him as long as his pump provider continues to cover it, he will cover it.

I'm ordering my next pump from Rip if this is true. I know Chip sells a pump that you can tap the wire, but it is a little pricey.



Eric- I run a smarty(which I love and hate all at the same time) and either a TST comp or a JVD Torque enhancer. These are both wire tap boxes, but since I have got into the 24valve world(which I also love and hate at the same time) I have learned "scotchlock it and forget it"



You might look into the TS MVP. It is pretty new and I don't think you have to tap the wire for it. Contact Timbeaux 38 on here. He was running one.

Yes you have to tap the pump wire if you want any more than 60 hp, You can run it up to 60 hp without taping the wire, when the pump is out of warrantee you can tap it and go up to 150 hp.
