Get 3/8" Long handle breaker-bar,

The bar goes in the belt tensioner which is down and to the right of the Alternator. release the tension and belt will fall off...

Best to start the new belt looping it tand make sure it is on the crank and work the belt around til you get to the tensioner. Work the tensioner and slip the belt on. That easy.

One side note. When using a breaker bar on a spring, pull tension towards you. Not push away. Otherwise your next thread may be titled "Tips on good orthodontic docs?".

thanks. I have never changed a belt but it's good to know how if your on the road. is this a two man job or can one man do this?

1 man job if you have a long enough breaker bar... . Kragen Auto has a serpentine belt tool kit that has a super long 3/8" bar that would make the job much easier.
