I was crawling around under the dash installing 2 of Geno's Isspro Bullet mounts (upside down) and noticed a connector with 16 or more pin holes directly below the ashtray (on my 2000) and am curious what it is for. Please don't tell me it's for some really neat accessory that I will want but can't afford or that it has all of the wiring for the 2 gauges I was installing;) !

Wayne, whats wrong with spending more money on your pride and joy?:D I thought I had everything after adding on what I have already but alas thats not to be. A Jardine exhaust should be added by the middle of June. If your ever up north,Corn valley way,let me know. We could swap tales over coffee.

Michael, If I get up that way I'll bring my wife along -- I think she has lots of explanations of what's wrong with spending more money on my beloved Ram ;) (She's actually pretty good -- even willing to pick me up when I drop it off over at Oregon Fuel Injection this afternoon to have them do the "plumbing" part of the fuel pressure gauge install. )

How are those guys at OFI in Eugene? I didnt get a good first immpresion of them here in Medford. When I first got my truck they were trying to sell me a BD plug and power and wanted to charge me $40 for the install. Then I found TDR and learned that the boxes take all but 1 min. to install.

It is the On Board Diagnostics II (OBDII) port. Yes it is what DC plugs into. Cummins has their port near the main pump. If you get a check engine light you want to use the OBDII port.

Sky, I wasn't impressed. I've been there twice and both times the result indicated a communication problem (or difference of opinion) between the guys out front and the guy doing the work. Didn't know of anyplace else to go for this sort of thing in Eugene though.

I have a couple of guys that do all my work for me now. They are in Redding and they are great and good prices too. They are TDR members, they are called J&H performance.

You mean the connector that has a padlock on it in my truck? :D Only 4,000 miles to go and I can take the padlock off (96,000 on the truck) - cause the truck will NEVER go back to a dealer again after that!
