Does anybody have a link to proper installation procedure? I assume it would be good to run each hole with a bottom end tap. Are the bolt holes 10x1. 5mm? Should any type of Loctite be used? Do you need a special stud tool to seat the stud to a specific torque? Tell me what else you know.

When I installed exhaust manifold studs I basically did it the same as head studs, except used high temp anti-seize on the threads (i. e. , instead of ARP lube).

1) apply anti-sieze

2) thread stud in, but don't bottom out in hole

3) hang multi-layer exhaust gaskets off of each cylinder stud pair

4) apply anti-seize to protruding threads

5) hang exhaust manifold

6) thread nuts on hand tight in torque pattern in factory manual until manifold flanges are equally flush

7) torque to OEM spec in stages following torque pattern in shop manual.

I never chased the threads except with a clean OEM manifold bolt.

Nothing has come loose yet.
