One of my headlights has a crack and leaks. The other has all the refective material flaking off! What's the best source of parts, price-wise? I spent an hour searching with no prices found!:(

I priced the sport headlights and the wiring harnees and the lights themselves are $294 and the wiring harness is $962 if I recall correctly.

From what I gather you need the wiring harness due to the non-sport trucks use 9004 headlights and the Spot version uses 9005 & 9006 foe the high and low beams.

Sport Conversion

Ended up with about $500. in conversion, have to change parking lights to! I will be a little less if you buy the complete light assemblies from Dodge, rater the the pieces as I did. For the wiring use the brite box (Genos) this provides all you will need to complete project. This was about twice as much as replacing the stock lights, but if you do alot of nightime driving it is worth it.

Hope this helps, Denny

Give Evan Beck a shout . . I think he did this change over . . his address is

S. Burton; did that $294 buy the headlight assemblies, or just the headlights? Was that dealer price?

C. D. Day; did you buy dealer parts? Complete assemblies?

That was the price of both headlights and turn signal lenses.

I will go back to the shop and double check if you want me too.

I have done a great deal of business with the dealership here and I get everything at cost and if I get more than one of anything they sell it to me at group rate!

I ordered the Sport headlight assemblies at $158 each. Stock 94 headlights are $128 each. needed sometrhing; couldn't drive at night with two flashlights ductaped to the hood. :)

sport headlights.

you can wire them yourself, or have someone help you. don't buy any $900 wiring harness. if no one else can help you rewire for them, i can. i am still in the process of rewiring mine to eliminate the chintzy 18 or 20 ga wire feeding my sport lights. btw, the sport system uses a 9004 and 9007 on each side, on the 01. 5

wiring

I'm gonna run the dual filament side only until I add a relay to bring power in on bigger wiring. $900 wiring harness? I may be an Auburn grad, but I ain't crazy!!!:D

rewiring

i'm not sure what year there was a change, but my 01. 5 uses a switched ground!! to control the lights. that causes some thinking, but still can be rewired with relays to get more volts to the lights. put a constant 12 vost source to the normally switched positive on the relay, and attach the wire fro the headlight that is the switched ground to the light to the ground on the relay. all else is the same, but you must ground the wire from the headlight to complete the circuit. use heavy wire to ground the light--preferrably back to the neg post on the battery--8-10 ga.

Sounds like it would make a great group purchase for TDR members. :D
