How will 120 horse injectors compare to my box?

On this board I've heard a few members mention timing hammer and how Edge products are set up in such a way as to cause it. What is it? Is it just an annoyance, or is it detrimental to the motor. Do all EZ's cause it or just new ones? I do notice that in trucks that are equipped w/ an EZ there is a definite sound and change in vibration that starts at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle that sounds like the motor is just making power. Is this the hamma?

Well, let's be clear about what we're discussing.

Some people refer to the increase in rattle that the EZ causes as "timing hammer". It makes the truck louder, but I don't think it hurts anything.

Then others of us refer to the THUMP THUMP THUMP as "timing hammer". If you want to know what this sounds like, just bury the pedal on an EZ-equipped truck when you have a HEAVY load on the back. *This* thumping is what scares me! The engine bucks and makes you think that it's gonna do something angrily.....
