Whats the deal with the new fuel filters???? Sticker shock!!!!

I ordered a few oil filters and some other goodies but held off on fuel filters as the price was 40+ $$$... Why do they cost SOOOOO much???? Guess I'm spoiled by the last 3 CTD's price of filters all under $20 each. Where to buy for best price ????

I got Wix fuel filters from Discount Fleet Supply - Wix 33255 for $34 each. I believe Dodge lists them for over $100 each.

The new fuel filter is a dual cartrage design I think it's 10 micron on the outside and 2 micron on the inside... .

Geno's has the Mopar filter for $43. 95 and the Fleetguard for $48. 95. I don't get why the Mopar is less????? I buy everything I can from Geno's. You always need to consider shipping costs. Best price does not always mean best total price.

This is a patent pending design that none of the others can legally reproduce. Mopar and fleetsource are the only two that have this design. Others are a single filtration media iirc.
