Hey guys I have a 1993 Dodge 250 Cummins with a tougher looking body on it and I was wondering how hard it would be to fit a 2nd gen body onto the frame. I have a complete 2nd gen gas truck I can use as a donor. Anyone ever done this and how hard was it? TIA, Chris

I don't think it will work. The 2 gen frame is longer, to begin with.

I saw a sled pull video, the truck was a 1st gen with stacks between cab and box. I made a smart comment about how good it did, being a 1st gen. I promptly got spanked for my insolence and told it was a 1st gen body on a 24 valve frame. That's why the stacks were in the middle. ;)

I'm not sure about all that, Pete. And I do not need to know about your disciplinary regimen, esp at a truck pull, where the person spanking you was likely another guy. :-laf :-laf

The frames are also wider on a 2nd Gen. I'd swap the drivetrain into the 2nd gen body, unless it was a 1/2ton, before I did any body swapping.

Why you gotta be like that? I wasn't at a pull ( ;) ) I was on here!

I agree on the width thing. Those newer trucks are built all wrong! :-laf
