Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) whats the difference ?

Between the 47RH and a 47RE and can you interchange the two. Doug

No. The 47RE has a PCM controlled electrical governor. The 47RH has a mechanical fly weight governor. The 47RH is longer because of the governor being in the tail shaft housing. The 47RE has a round ten wire connector. The 47RH has a flat three wire connector.

Also the input shafts on the transfer cases are different lengths if you are using it in a 4 wheel drive application.
