I am thinking about selling my 1993 W250 Ex cab 5 speed. The truck run great but the body has some rust I have a good cab for it just have not had the time to put it on. The cab would go with it. Just wandering if I sould keep it till I pay it off $6000 is the pay off on it. Well you guys kick it around and let me know what you think. I have not made my mind up yet but my wife has ben whating me to get a new truck. I like 1st gen the best but some day I am going to have kids and the seat in a 1st gen are not that good for kids

The truck has 162000 on it

Well thanks for any help you can give me Gerald

worth???

In every situation it is worth only what it will bring and I feel pretty sure that a truck that needs the cab changed is not going to bring 6k. The mileage is quite low and it is no doubt a working truck that will give years of service. If you are going to the trouble to change a cab, make it a crew and you will have the room for all the kids you can afford to feed. Find a short bed or make a flat bed to allow for the longer cab.

I'm sure $5k all day. Just depends on the amount of rust. You're not gonna get rich thats for sure. If you were just wanting out from under the payoff, then maybe $6k. But then you'd have no 1st gen, and didn't come out ahead, well good credit maybe.

Edit: ok I change my story, I viewed the pics of it in your readers gallery. Excab that looks that good, I'd start no less than $8k. Those 4x4, ex cab, 5 speeds, low miles bring in good money, $10k+. You might have to sit on it for some time til the right buyer comes around though.

I guess you're not talking to me. :-laf Sorry. I just couldn't resist.

The truck has lots of rust in the floor and the two seat supports are rusted through, but I have a replacement cab that does not have rust on it. The cab would be sold with the truck.

I just bought one.

I bought one about a month and a half ago... $4. 5K. Everything works. it has some hail damage, suface rust on the roof and hood. 127K miles. Great mechanical condition.
