what is the max rpm of the engine using the p7100 pump with standard gov springs? I can get to 2800rpm with my standard gov springs, so would the 3k spring kit really do anything for me?

Yeah the 3kGSK will do lots for ya. Mine would rev to 3000RPM with the stock springs but really start losing power (de-fueling) at around 2400, by the time it got to 2800 there was nothing left. With the 3kGSK you get good hard fuel delivery and power up to 3000RPM. Works best when combined with a new cam plate. What truck do you have, if you fill out you signature it'll help give you some other tips.

Taker easy,

Makes a big differenece if you have an auto or manual. My '96 stock without the pump ever being touched would pull strong to 2900 RPM with max power at about 2750, and max RPM around 3150. But some people told me mine ran higher RPM than usual and the governor might have been a little out of whack.

I now have a 175 pump that's turned up and has a 3k GSK and it revs and pulls about the same as my 215 pump did stock.
