Does anyone have the correct cold cranking amps number for the batteries in a 98 24 valve, 2500, stick. The replacements I put in are 725CCA but I am told by the dealer mechanic that 850CCA are the minimum. I've looked in a shop manual for 2002 model year which specifies 750CCA and I don't know if it would be the same for a 98 or not. Anyone know the correct factory specified batteries for my truck?

If you don't live in the extreme cold youre fine. The test is, do they run your grid heaters and then crank the engine enough to start. If so, you're good to go. Making sure you have clean tight connections on batts, ground, starter will help you get the most out of them.
