Whats the real difference between the Ram 4500 and 5500

You can see the COG sticker just ahead of the furnace vent. This was from my test fit last spring.
I think it finally wound up being set ahead a couple more inches.
There is room between the camper and headboard for two Lafuma chairs and a folding stepladder.

Mine is the long body version. But the only difference between a long and short version on 865s is the rear storage boxes. Short versions have bigger boxes and have room for a small generator.

If I am going with a 4K camper wet then some storage weight would I be ok with a 4500 and would it ride better or should I go 5500 if the extra carrying capacity at the springs is progressive if you know what I mean so the ride will be the same with either but perhaps more sway control?

Max RAWR on a 4500 is 12,000 and a 55500 is 13,500. How much do you think you need?

One advantage to the 4500 is you can get it with 4.10 gears, but if you don’t mind 4.44’s I’d get the 5500.
