I got a good running 1994 cummins with a good shifting 5 speed and transfercase, still in the truck, truck is wrecked, just had the injection pump rebuilt and the power was tuned to run with the newer trucks, also has a new lift pump and fuel heater, motor has 112k miles. whats is worth the sell?

To give you an idea, I paid 1500 for a VE pump motor and Allison 545, in totally unknown condition, with about 200K, and I thought that was a good deal.

I dont know what its worth in your area , but I have a parts truck that I'm getting ready to sell and after calling all of the local junk yards the cheapest motor I could find ( unknown miles ,unknown condition ) was $2800  and thats just the motor.

When I bought my motor in Anchorage at the salvage yard they wanted 3500 and it had been on the shelf for four years. I picked it up for 2400 after some negotiation. I had a transmission built and sent up, shipping is what gets you. They wanted some serious coin to deliver it to the house because they had to get a fork lift to unload it. I had it delivered to my work and used their forklift.

Put it on Craigslist as a whole truck and see what happens. I know of five people in the Anchorage bowl with conversions and 1 guy we are trying to talk into one so surley there are more.

WFyfe,

I would seriously reconsider about selling the NV4500. They no longer make them and haven't for a while. There are almost no more OEM parts for them. I tried to get a new input shaft for mine and there were none to be found at the time. Parts are getting real pricey. Supposedly there is a person or persons who bought the rights to the NV 4500 and 6500 and was going to start making OEM parts again but it takes money, lots of it and he/they haven't started yet.
