the one GOOD thing about Commiefornia is there are a ton of Micro brews here. . lots of good ones... however my favorite is Red Hook ESB out of Woodville, Washington State

Some Very Good ones in Joe G's area [Eureka] also.

another good one from Washington is Pyramid Ale

I like the Bitter ones best

Arrugant ******* Ale (Beer?)

Here in San Diego County we have a small mico Brewery that make Arrugant ******* Ale. as they say:



"Arrogant ******* Ale is in the "Strong Ale" style. Reddish - mahogany in color, this beer has an aggressively arrogant flavor. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory --- maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. (Perhaps you're mouthing your words as you read this. )



Questions or comments? If you don't like this beer, keep it to yourself --- we don't want to hear from any sniveling yellow-beer-drinkin' wimps, 'cause this beer wasn't made for you.

Sam Adams, Corona, Fosters are all good. Just about any German beer I've had was good, Spaten, Dinkelocker etc. etc.



Went on a company payed fishing trip last week. They didnt have any of the above, so it was bagels and Bud for breakfast. Free beer is good too as long as it's cold.

At the moment Fat Tire out of Colorado is tops on my list. When ever I travel to one of the states they deliver to I grab a case and bring it back home in our aircraft. Check them out at http://www.newbelgium.com

Otherwise most microbrews are great. I experiment all over the country

dmurdock, I'm certain I have you'r Shaefer lite beat. Have you ever tried Stegmaier, or Piels? I think it was about a buck twenty five a six pack around 1980.

I love those micro-brew darks and porters. For everyday drinkin', it'd have to be Weinhard's Dark or Porter.



How about those of ya that brew your own? That's a great hobby. I make about 20 gallons every summer. If I get it perfected well enough, I may start entering it into competitions...

I like either Heineken or St. Pauli Girl... Bottles only no matter what beer or tap into a stien or cold glass mug. Only trouble with my two favorites are they are known as skunk beer. Your own farts will gag you. If you throw in a couple of deviled eggs, your wife may pack your bags.

Any GOOD dark stout (Guiness, Tooth Sheaf, Mackesons) over a Coors to taste... . I am thirsty now! With some of those vein clogging BBQ pork rinds!

For the ultimate in beer enjoyment for those of us who find the commercial barley pop lacking in just about every redeeming quality. There is a little festival the 1st of October in Denver known as THE Great American Beer Festival. I worked that festival for 15 years, the last 5 of those was on the tapping crew.

We tapped 1000+ kegs of beer. There were 0ver 1200 beers served at the fest. You get to taste the beers 1 ounce at a time.

That would be the equivalent of app. 25 cases ,if you wanted to try them all. After 15 years I figure I tried 15 cases.

At the end of the festival I would get compensated for a week worth of 12 to 15 hour days of work with the leftover beer. I usually brought home 50 to 100 cases of all kinds of Micro beer.

I was a very popular guy in the nieghborhood ( For you Denverites, I lived on Squaw Pass at the 10,000 foot elevation)

I do have one heck of a bottle collection, all empty. The list of whats good won't fit on this forum. The triple bocks, barleywines, and other high gravity brews are great. My personnel favorite is my own creation I called Bill Purple Ribbon (BPR) (for the ribbon I won with it) Fractale. (fractals are the mathamatical study of chaos) I threw everything I could find in and fermented it.

Mostly Coors light, helps me maintain my pre-teen figure. My favorite is no longer made, Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale, tasted just like spicey pumpkin. In the days of my youth we drank Genesse Cream Ale and anything else that we could find. We also usually paid for it the next morining if ya know what I mean.

Miller Lite

In 1991 After Divorce natural lite. 1992 after buying a couple of used Mercedes diesels Bud-lite(time to move up in the world).

In 1993,tired of wakeing up with a BAD HEAD,MILLER LITE. For the first two weeks miller lite did not taste good. Now its still the best and I don't wake up with a HEAD ACHE.

Seriously I can not stand to drink to much. About 3 or 4 is it. Well maybe 4 or 5. Or sometimes six. But thats it.

I always loved Molson Golden Ale but haven't seen it since I moved fro N. H to N. V. Right now I like Hieneken or Becks Lite. Have to take it easy on the retirement budget though. Heading back to Montana in 2 weeks .
