Potato Canon

Yosemite Sam, "You no-good dirty bushwhackin' barracuda!"

Dick Dastardly and Mutley with the Wacky Racers. I liked them because they reminded me of and were most likely based on characters made famous by Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk in The Great Race or vice versa. Professor Fate, and Maxmillian "Max" Meen.

Penelope Pitstop would have been a real cutey in real life though! ;) I guess her character was somewhat related to Natalie Wood's character Maggie DuBois in the same movie.

sorry to take this down, but ...

Pinky and the Brain,

Johnny Bravo,

Southpark,

Beevis and Butthead,

Rocky and Bullwinkle show.

Some of my more recent ones would be:

The Tick

South Park

King of the Hill

Simpson's (been watching it since it was a short on the Tracy Ullman show - it just keeps getting funnier and funnier)

the older ones would have to be:

Bugs Bunny

Road Runner & Wiley

but my all time favorites would have to be:

HEAVY METAL (BY FAR MY FAVORITE)

Fritz the Cat

The Wall

(labeling these as cartoons is pushing it though)

I missed your post Doc, I'd have to say you'd be Dale. But there was a guy that camped with us (GLTDR & SETDR) in Pigeon Forge (can't remember his name) that is a DEAD RINGER for Boomhauer - accent and all! I had a hard time not laughing every time he spoke up (pretty quiet guy too - THANK GOD!)
