looking at buying a '02 Q/C long bed six speed 4x4. What sort of mileage might I expect from it. My 94 got 20. 3 mpg on the last fillup.

I get 16 unloaded at 70-73mph and If I slow down and put an egg on the pedal I have seen 18. 6 but that is boring. The HO motors get less milage than the 5sd and auto's. Don't add much weight in bumpers and tool boxes and the milage will be better. 63mph is a sweet spot. Keep it under 2000 rpm's at the shift. I also get 11 towing.

14-15 in town

17-18 highway

20mpg... yeah right!

My old 92 4x4 5 speed got an average of 19. 5mpg. Record best was through Oregon heading to Cali at 55-60 mph, got 26mpg. Wish all days were like that.

I averaged 21. 6MPG from here (Canada) to Boston and back a couple years ago. The diference between 65 and 75 MPH is huge in MPG. I find myself cruising slower nowadays considering the redicelous fuel prices, 4. 00 a gallon in Canada :--) :--)

2001. 5 with all my stuff in my sig was 21. 7 last week with 415 miles on highway,city is usually about 18. Overall i'm happy,the Ford 7. 3 i drive for a living can't get over 12/13 loaded/unloaded. Upwards of 20+ is pretty good with me,my other car(91Acura)gets 33-35 city/highway.

I average 19. 5 on the typical freeway commute - lots of crawling, then speeding.

Towing the 5th wheel, grossing 17-18K, about 11 MPG.

Life time average, 17. 26 at 64,000 miles.

Best tank, 22. 1, cruising very carefully on the highway for 250 miles.

I am sure you are wanting SRW numbers, but... Anyway :)

10. 5-13 around town (unloaded)

16. 5-17. 5 @ about 75mph highway (unloaded)

11. 0 - 11. 5 @ 14k GCW doin about 80mph with a 8ft tall enclosed trailer

I am a VERY good transmission tester :-laf

hand calculated, cruise control and set to pyro temp of 600 degrees, overhead showed about 764 miles to empty. I have hand calculated between 26 and 28 on numerous trips. also the block of wood under the pedal will improve it alot :D

I am convinced that the 150hp injectors DO NOT help fuel mileage as they claim. I get 17 tops on the interstate at 80. I think alot of it may be my cruise control surge. Before the injectors I was getting 19 on the same road.

18 to 19 mpg everyday driving

19+ to 20. 5 mpg hiway driving

Loaded with cabover camper 14 to 15 mpg

Best empty mpg was trip from Auburn Ca. to Eagle Lake(north of Susanville Ca. ) and back 20. 8 mpg
