Have a 4 speed auto, not a bad transmission but next rig will have a six speed. There must be a reason big rigs have manuals. Yes they pull better!

I have one of each and comparing stock to stock,the auto sucks.

The wife realizes it now too (a bit late).

I really like my 6-speed,BUT if I had a choice ,I'd would like a allisson transmisson!

A manual transmission is the only way to go .

I currently have the 6-speed and no I would not want a different transmission as I fill it pulls better and while towing I have more control beside I don't need no computer to deside when to shift.

Happy with my Auto, except for the inability to "control" the exhaust tone more when needed.
