Juice w/attitude. I bought it solely for the mileage increase that I never got.

Cattletrkr, how do you like the power increase? Are you sure you're not enjoying the extra power a little too much. I can kill my mileage by seat of the pants testing :D of a tuner. I gave a co-worker a ride in my truck and with one full throttle blast, she started laughing and said, "you don't need a sports car".

Either that or mistakenly getting 16ply tires. I just assumed they would be 12ply but after they were on I saw the "load range H". Way too rough. Gonna make sure I get the 12ply variety next time... if these ever wear out.

x2. Damn these tires are stiff. I wish I had gone with the lighter load range as well. Live and learn I guess, they are definitely nice when towing, but for around town use they arent the most ride friendly tire made... .

I drive "normal". I put an EZ in my '01 and got at least 0. 5mpg increase--heavy towing. I got nothing when I added the Juice to the '04. 5. Since I got an increase with the '01, and not the '04. 5, I'm simply ruling out the operator (ME) as the culprit.

Well, I thought I would get a few free horses... . and remove the fan and clutch. I rigged up two electric fans. Would hardly keep the heat down with out towing the 5'er. Towed the 5'er over the hill out of Denver on I-70 and got her really hot. So pulled the head to replace the gasket... . decided to do a little home port job... found the water jacket with the die grinder on the number 6 exhaust port... ... . Hello Piers.....

So 400. 00 for two fans that didn't do the job, 200. 00 for top end gasket set, 2400. 00 for a stage one head, o-ring job and shipping... ... figuring out that BOMBING is a slippery slope... . Priceless.

Happy days and back to the old fan and clutch... . :D

Mine would have to be my SPA dual EGT and Boost guage. I kept having problems with it and kept throwing new parts at it, trying to fix the problem. I could have bought the guage twice after all was said and done. The final time it stopped working was when I was going from Las Vegas to South Dakota. The guage started not working about 120 miles out of Las Vegas. I turned by Comp box down to level two (I was pulling my TT, around 9,000 lbs) and just before I hit about 160 miles out of town, I melted my number 6 cylinder. I should have just turned the box off, but I learned a pricey leason!!!! New long block. I guess I could have bought more than a couple of guages by the time all was said and done!!!!!!

I would have to echo the banks six-gun speedloader mistake, makes a nice paperweight on the bench.

I might also throw in the new 3-flow edm I JUST installed last week. My TST is now a 700 dollar timeing only box. And the truck smokes if you even blip the throttle. Low end spool up is real nice though!

That is the real bite in a** with bombs, it costs 250-5000 bucks just to see if you like 'em!!

i have to agree on the banks ottomind not offeing up much bang for the buck. the monster muffler is about to be traded for the donaldson 51" as well. does anyone have any experience with the donalson and its ability to tame the drone that's making my head shrink.

Most people here that have used the Donaldson mufflers have been happy with them.

As far as mileage goes, my flatbed was my "worst" BOMB. I lost the 2mpg I gained from my mods prior to the 191s and sliding the plate full forward. If it weren't for the mileage loss, it would be one of my best ones. Still not taking it off, though. Much handier than a pickup box.

The worst bomb I made was the DT Track Bar. What a POS. The bar is not bad but the bracket they made for lifted trucks is TERRIBLE. Look under and turn the wheel and you will see a flex-o-rama! The owners is a jerk and does not know what a crush sleeve is... Ha. I would have rather gone with the thuren track bar.

You need to weld the bracket to the truck. Dodge didn't bolt on a new bracket for the 3rd gens, they attached it.

I'm pretty happy with my DT bar, but i have the one for normal or small (<2" lift) lift trucks.

I have had to tighten the bolts to the bracket a couple times, because the bracket IS a little weak.

If I have more problems with the DT bracket, I'll get it welded.

The Thuren bar is probably the best out, and I've heard nothing be great comments on it.

I won't say the DT bar is the best, but it's been pretty good to me, and it's WAY better then stock.

Very minor, but the chrome flap thingies from Geno's. They look great but if someone spits on the street within a block of my house, they rust. I was cleaning them almost daily until I finally gave up. Within a few weeks they were totally covered with rust. I liked them a lot, just toooo much work for me.

my catback exhaust. could have bought the full system from rip for the same price.

thank god i didnt buy that powerpack i was looking at.

My mods have performed flawlessly to date. My only gripe is that no matter what you do to improve mileage, the sloppiness of the 48RE will render it useless. That said, the power delivery is perfect and completely streetable having already reduced turbo lag to nothing. Only thing left is to replace those cheesey factory couplers.
