Wheel backspace

I'm told that a 4. 5 backspace is not recommended with 36x14. 50/18 on a 5 inch pro comp lift. I've seen all the way out to 6 inch B/S being used. On an 18 inch wheel what's your thoughts.

A 6" backspace wheel will keep the tires more in the fender and when they are turned there will be more clearance as the tires won't swing in as large of an arc. I have 6" of backspacing on my 17"x9" wheels in the last picture of my "Readers Rigs"
