I saw a positive recommendation by a member a while back for Counteract Balance beads. I decided to try them with my tire/wheel combo to eliminate external weights and allow the beads to continuously adjust for tire changes. I have about 1000 miles so far, and the worst scenario is that it may take UP TO one minute to rebalance after a speed bump or curb. Freeway is great, around town is great, no problems.
I run golf balls. It sounds nuts but it works. I usually run three, but I'll add a fourth if a tire is really out of balance. It's worked for this truck and the truck before this. At least it's cheap.
I had a set of Centramatics on the front wheels of my '92 D350 I used to have. They did a good job on the balancing the bouncing front tires. I sold them to another TDR member with a 1st gen truck since they wouldn't fit my new '97 3500 when I traded.
Just go to any big truck tire shop and have them put "EQUAL" in you tires. It is a weighted powder that works great. Have used it on the last 3 or 4 sets of tires and also on all 8 of my trailer tires.
What kind of golf balls do you recommend? Personally, I prefer Titleist. Have you gotten better results with a balata ball compared to some cheap range balls? J/K... Ha Ha Ha!!!
