Wheel Base?

[Why Not]

I have been trying to find out some information on wheel base measurements on older Dodge trucks. I was told of a 85 Crew Cab 3/4 short bed 4X4 truck that could be bought at a good price. As I have wanted a Crew Cab and my Club Cab is need of major repair I was trying to find out if there is any difference in wheel base between the Club Cab long bed and Crew Cab short trucks? No big deal, just wondering.

The w/b on the club cab long box is 149". A crew cab is 16" longer in the cab than a club but a long box is 18" longer than a short box, so no the crew cab can't be just dropped on the club frame, just in case you were wondering. The shape ( where it bends up under the cab ) of the frame is different. Shadrach

Only difference in drivetrain would be in rearmost section of rear shaft. I have a rear shaft front section from a club in my crew right now. I'm not even sure there is a difference in the rear section as the slip yoke may be able to compensate for the small difference. As long as you swap everything I expect it would work. Who's got a parts manual?

Hey Chris {why not} its easy to swap everything over onto the crewcab are you useing the crew's body if so Its roughly less then a couple week"s worth of work .

I am planning on no more than 2 months to get everything in place. I will bring the entire drive train from my 93 as everything is either new or rebuilt, and now it is time for the new body to finish off the project. Thanks for all the imput
