:--) I just returned from a coast to coast trip from the Seattle area and on the return leg as I was descending a 16 mile 6% grade between Artesia, NM & Almagordo and about 1/3rd the way down my left front wheel bearing began to grind on right hand curves. No place to pull over so I had to nurse it into Almagordo to the Dodge dealership there. By the time I pulled into their parking lot there were bearings falling out of the front wheel. Lost my brakes just as I pulled in as well. It cost me $600. 00 plus for a new bearing assembyly. How many others have had their front bearings go out at under 50,000 miles. (I carry a 11. 5 camper)

Just had mine replaced last week, only 17000 miles on it.

All covered under warranty!!!

Left front wheel, bearing and hub totally trashed!

I have about 45,000 so I didn't get the warranty coverage. Had to take it out of my Social Security Check! Good thing it happened on the 3rd of the month! Sure hope it doesn't happen again on the other side.

The mechanic at the dealership said he had never replaced a bearing assembly on the RAM's and he had to have the book open as he worked on it.

Why in my 'Owners Manual' does it say to repack front wheel bearings on 2 wheel drive only? I have 4 wheel and at 67,500mi I have not yet done anything with my bearings. Should I??
