Anybody Looking?

Great. I'm going to go with the extend-a-fenders then.

BTW, is there some sort of rubber edging between the outside of the flare and the body to prevent rubbing? It looks like there is, but I can't tell for sure.

Thanks for the info.

Yes there is a rubber bead around the entire area that contacts the body. They must use soap/water mixture to get it on because they were washing the stuff off the flares when I got there to pick the truck up.

Sorry about the confusion on the flare models, and thanks for pointing that out. I talked to the parts guy today, and of course he tried to say I specified the larger model. They always seem to have an answer.

They do look very good on your rig. May I ask what was the total installed cost, would it be possible to list it in part , paint & labor? If so thank you. If not I can understand.

Thanks Again. Take Care

I have the Bushwhacker extendaflares on mine. There a little over kill for stock tires but they look good. The lower part of my truck is silver so I had them done to match. I also put on chromed nerph bars to help HER get in. The only flaw in the whole set up is I travel alot of gravel roads and the rear flares have taken real beating in the paint dept. I have to get good set of mud flaps and then get all the lower panels and flares repainted.

I had Breman fibreglass running boards and flares on my first 2003. They looked real good but the new design did nothing to protect the side of the truck as the tires stuck out past the flares so all the crud just flew up the side of the truck and sat on the running boards, and I had alot of stone chipping as well. So on this new 2003 I thought I'd try something different. I can't honestly say it's been a great improvement. Hopefully a good set of mud flaps will solve the problem. This last method has been far more expensive than the first. Pete

Anyone have the new pocket style Bushwackers (in the "Whate's New" section on their site)? I'd like to see if they cover as good or better than the extend-a-fenders do.
